Absolutely, you can bring your own kayak or canoe and we will shuttle you for $35/vessel. 

For vessels that are not kayak or canoes, such as Jon boats, rafts, tubes, and inflatables please contact us to confirm that the vessel can fit on our boat trailer or can be inflated or deflated as needed.

Please call us ahead of time with the following information, the float date, number of people, and number of vessels needed.

We try to put the 10 mile floats on the water by 10:00 A.M. to allow ample time to enjoy the float. For the 5,3,1 mile floats we will have you on the water by 12:oo P.M. 

Please arrive at the lodge an hour before the launch times to allow us enough time to load boats, life vests, and take attendance.

Shuttle busses meet at the rec. lodge/camp store. For the 10 mile float, please meet at the lodge at 9:00 A.M.

For the 5,3,1 mile float please meet at the lodge at 11:00 A.M. 

*To remain on schedule we kindly ask that everyone arrive at the lodge with coolers/bags packed and ready to load. Sunblock, water-shoes, and other preparations can be done at the drop-off while our staff unload the boats.

While there is no definitive number. While you know your kids better than anyone, we recommend they are able to do the following;

  • Communicate effectively in the case of an emergency.
  • Know swim basics such as being able to float and maneuver themselves in the water.

We provide life vests for children and adults over 50lbs. Children under 50lbs must have a coast guard approved life vest. 

If it is raining the morning of your reservation we may delay the launch times if the weather is going to clear up. In the case of severe weather or heavy rain the morning of the float we will refund the float in full (Please note, this call is only made the day of, and not based on weather forecast). 

If it happens to rain during the float we encourage you to paddle through if it is safe. In the case of a surprise pop up thunderstorm, paddle to the shore and try to shelter yourself until the storm passes (using your boat or raft can a good option).

Yes you can if you have your own boat, or rent one of our kayaks, canoes or paddle boards. Pets however are not allowed on our rafts.

We do recommend the following if you are thinking about bringing your pet.

  • Make sure they listen when you tell them to sit, stay, lie down, and come back.
  • Make sure there is enough room for both you and your dog in the boat.
  • Place a life vest on them and never tie them to the boat.

The St. Francis is quite different than most western Ozark streams in the fact that it is less a “float” stream and more of a “paddlers” river with cubic feet discharge of around 100-300 ft/3s.  The St. Francis 

Yes, We do allow guests to put non motorized watercraft’s on the lake for $15/vessel. The $15 goes to helping restore the lake and fight invasive weeds. We ask that you wash your boat before and after putting it in the lake to avoid introducing and transporting invasive species.
